As part of our commitment to upgrade and renew equipment year on year at the Forged Solutions Group, we have directed over $1m investment in to the first cell of a new state-of-the-art machining facility at our Blaenavon site.
For the first cell we will take delivery of Five new Doosan CNC turning centres, plus associated ancillary equipment over the coming months.
Equipped with the latest tooling technology and control systems, our new machining facility will give us improved capability and capacity. Through robust and innovative engineering solutions, we look forward to increasing our productivity and delivering even greater levels of reliability to our customers.
This investment is part of our exciting journey at Blaenavon and group-wide, as we constantly strive to improve capability on existing products, whilst exploring and innovating new products through an extensive programme of R&D.
Mark Corry Head of Operations at our Blaenavon site, said: “The continued investment in Blaenavon is exciting and clear evidence of the confidence we have in the facility going forward. The new cell will enable us to improve our technical capability and give increased levels of support to both our new and existing customers.”
Dr. Andrew Littlehales, Head of Technical, Engineering & Quality added: “This investment provides us with an opportunity to specifically focus on the machining engineering methodologies due to increased capabilities and functionality. This will inevitably improve our product processing capabilities, which will directly benefit the company and our valued customers.”
