Job Summary:
To Support the business and the Engineering Manager to achieve the business goals, including but not exclusive to, EHS, Legal requirements, Production availability & Preventative maintenance. Responsible for the maintenance of all industrial equipment, domestic supplies and building services within FSG- Sheffield Forgings.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
• Promote and ensure all EHS requirements are adhered to.

Saw Operative (Front End) RD Avg. 40 hours per week (4 x 10 hrs, Mon – Thurs days and nights shifts)

Main Purpose of Job:
The post holder is required to operate the saws at River Don and potentially Meadowhall. You will also be responsible for the loading and unloading of parts from transport vehicles, movement of material throughout the department including the loading and unloading of the individual saws.
The post holder is required to be flexible in their working hours and shifts.
It is important the person has an open mind on flexibility and is willing to move into other areas if necessary and cover other shifts. The core hours will be 4 x 10hr shifts Monday – Thursday days and nights. The main principle of the role is to feed stock to both Forge’s at River Don and Meadowhall and covering the tube saws for Meadowhall. There may be times when the operator will be required to cover a Forge front end roll and would be expected to take on training for these duties.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
 Operate the saw (following safe working practices), cutting material bar or forging on the tub saws into the relevant signed pieces ensuring they match the specification on the route cards. Material should be the accurate in length and weight and completed in a timely, safe and efficient way.
 The safe and efficient movement and management of raw material through the site
 Loading and unloading of parts onto external transport vehicles including container lorries.
 The loading and unloading of sawn raw material (billets) from transport vehicles and the safe and secure stacking of all material unloaded.
 Data entry to MRP/ERP systems relating to and the completion of kitting lists where necessary
 Always ensure the highest level of cleanliness and safety and report any concerns immediately to your supervisor.

Press Operator, Closed Die BFL Blaenavon South Wales 37 Hours per week – 2 shifts

We are currently seeking an experienced Press Operator to work as part of a busy team in our Closed Die Forge.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
 Working as part of a team responsible for the operation of the press including the tooling set up to ensure correct operation and that conforming product is created in line with specification.
 To prepare all tooling in line with SoP for the forging presses, including cleaning before set up.
 Continuous inspection and cleaning of dies, and ensuring that all toolsets, dies and measuring instruments used, are fit for purpose and instruments are in the current calibration period.
 Supporting all ancillary processes where necessary including but not limited to grinding and glassing.
 Setting and gauging blades using power press, screw press, gauges and measuring instruments to achieve the required dimensional acceptance standard.

Manufacturing Engineer /CNC Programmer PP Mon-Fri, 37.5 Hours Per Week

Main Purpose of Job:
To support the machining requirements for CNC programming, Continuous Improvement on safety / quality / cost and be the onsite Engineering lead to ensure PPM adherence and resource utilisation. Daily you be supporting the CNC Programmer / Process Engineer in updating programmes and creating new if required. This will involve making programme from scratch and models in the design team, through to optimising existing programs, tool life. You will also help deliver operational improvements. Job Summary
The post holder is required to work primarily at the Provincial Park site but be flexible across Meadowhall and River Don sites as required. Key purpose of the role is to safely move parts throughout the sites and to load/unload vehicles or containers.
The individual must be able to respond quickly to the needs of the business and embrace change through effective housekeeping, flexibility and to focus on the needs of the internal/external customers.
Key Objectives of the Role:
• Manoeuvring part using a Fork Lift Truck (FLT) to and from the packing area
• Offloading and Loading parts to be transferred between sites
• Loading customer orders onto wagons or containers

Main Purpose of Job:
The Design Engineer is responsible for the robust design of product within Sheffield Forgings from estimation through to product qualification and subsequent change management and improvement initiatives and provide guidance and support to the necessary departments to enable the organisation to achieve its KPI’s.

We are currently looking for two Machinists to join our facility in Blaenavon, South Wales. The key function of the Machinist role will be to work as part of a team to process product through the Machine Shop that is produced right first time and that is delivered to the Customer in line with their expectations and requirements.
Principle Accountabilities:
 Work as part of a team to achieve departmental KPIs with respect to Right First Time, On Time In Full, Productivity etc.

Main Purpose of Job:
The Product Metallurgist is responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination of the metallurgical function within the Technical team and is an integral contributor to the organisation’s new product introduction program inclusive of estimation, route definition, change management, and fixed process definition. Mechanical Fitter PPM (Mechanical Bias) RD 40 Hours per week (Days, Mon-Fri)

Main Purpose of Job:

The FS Group Mechanical PPM Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support to achieve KPI target levels of plant availability and performance at our River Don site. The key responsibilities of this role are to actively take part in PPM, TPM, Continuous Improvement (CI) Initiatives. Other key tasks of the role include completing general engineering tasks & corrective repairs. Be involved in contractor liaison to gain quotes & spares, work with on specific contracted tasks. Carry out cost effective maintenance routines and general repairs to prolong the useful life of the equipment. All these tasks are to be carried out and completed within a specified time frame and to the highest Engineering Standards, thus minimising any operational disruptions whilst maximising uptime of operational equipment.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
 Ensure all Engineering Breakdowns (irrespective of priority) are identified and subsequently rectified as quickly as possible whilst ensuring all EHS controls are adhered to.
 Provide a supporting role to the introduction of PPM, TPM and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives primarily at our River Don site but across all Sheffield Forging sites.
 Have the delegated authority of the FS Group Engineering Team Leader in his absence

Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical Fitter) MH 40 Hours per week Mon – Fri (24/5 D/A/N)

Main Purpose of Job:
The FS Group Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support to achieve KPI target levels of plant availability and performance at the Meadowhall, River Don and Provincial Park FS sites. The key responsibilities of this role are to actively take part in (and on occasion) lead the Engineering Team in areas such as PPM, TPM, Continuous Improvement (CI) Initiatives, Training and Housekeeping. Other key tasks of the role include completing general engineering tasks, breakdown repairs, Contractor Liaison and carrying out cost effective maintenance routines and general repairs to prolong the useful life of the equipment. All these tasks are to be carried out and completed within a specified time frame and to the highest Engineering Standards, thus minimising any operational disruptions whilst maximising uptime of operational equipment.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
 Ensure all Engineering Breakdowns (irrespective of priority) are identified and subsequently rectified as quickly as possible
 Provide a supporting role to the introduction of PPM, TPM and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives across all FS Sites
 Have the delegated authority of the FS Group Engineering Team Leader in his Absence
 In the event of no first line management presence, responsible for making sound Engineering decisions in line with business requirements and escalate to Senior Management if required
 Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping (within specified areas) and to embrace the 5S initiative program daily
 Always enforce and practice the highest standards of Health & safety adopting FS Standards and ensure that all plant and ancillary equipment is maintained to these high standards
 Ensure all recording systems for work completion are correctly compiled with all relevant information detailed
 Ensure that the detailed procedure of Shift Change / Handover of the department is carried out thoroughly and all relevant paperwork is compiled correctly with the on-coming personnel
 Assist the Site Engineering Manager (SEM) in minimising machine down time by introducing autonomous maintenance programmes
 Responsible for timely completion of all plant PPM schedules and to provide support for all site wide TPM programs
 Ensure good communication avenues are prevalent between the Engineering Teams
 Work as part of a multi-functional Mechanical / Electrical on-site Team
 Any other adhoc duties as required

 To achieve >95% completion rate of PPM’s across all Plant and ancillary systems
 To achieve >95% completion rate of Maintenance Requisition Requests

Machine forgings and tooling to specified drawings across both manual and CNC machining centres. The parts machined feed both the commercial and aerospace markets.

Training Pay
All new employees that join the business who are not qualified within the role will be paid at 75% of the hourly rate until they are fully trained and deemed fully competent.
Team members in training for a role attracting a higher rate of pay within the company will remain on their current rate of pay until they are fully trained and deemed fully competent. Team members in training for attracting a lower rate of pay within the company will immediately transfer to the lower rate of pay. A 6-month probationary period will be set in order to complete this training.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Mechanical Bias (Maintenance Department) DD X2 15s Shift Pattern (24/5) Avg. 40 Hrs Per Week

Job Summary
An apprentice trained maintenance engineer with experience of working in a medium to heavy engineering environment. The position will involve carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance duties on a variety of machinery and equipment. Continual improvement and the use of RCA to improve the equipment OEE will be an essential pre-requisite for this position. Willingness to work overtime and differing shifts pattern is also required.

Key Objectives of the Role:
 Ensure all PPM tasks are completed on time and to the required standards.
 Use RCA to identify true cause of failures and report corrective action necessary.
 Improve plant OEE by ensuring issues are dealt with in a swift and effective manner with an effective first-time fix.
 Ensure all departmental documentation is completed on time and to company standards.
 Develop the PPM system for key items of plant in conjunction with the maintenance planner to improve plant OEE.
 Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance on a variety of equipment.
 Rapid response to customers’ demands with a quick diagnosis of the issue and an effective fix.
 Develop and recommend solutions to improve equipment availability to Maintenance Manager.
 Ensure all work undertaken is done via the company safety rules and procedures
 including the undertaking of risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work, and safe lock off procedures.
 Be aware of incident reports and work with operational managers to promptly implement solutions to prevent re-occurrence.
 To co-operate readily on the development and implementation of autonomous maintenance (TPM).
 To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be requested.
