We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician to join our Maintenance Team in Blaenavon. Reporting into the Electrical Engineer, the successful candidate will support Operations in achieving maximum uptime, reliability, efficiency and safety of all plant equipment and services through the provision of timely and cost effective maintenance and repair of all relevant company assets in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

Hours of work for this role are Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 13:00, with a possibility of shift coverage as and when required. Shift allowance rates will be paid during shift cover (10% 2 shift, 16% 3 shift).

Principle Accountabilities:
• Respond as necessary to operational priorities seeking clarity from Operations or Maintenance Management where necessary.
• To support production activities at all times by ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdown.
• Execute tasks in line with Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule, ensuring work is carried out in compliance within all statutory Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and in accordance with internal risk assessments.
• Fully utilise the Pirana CMMS.
• Undertake effective fault finding and rectification of plant and equipment failures to include the effective Root Cause analysis and the implementation of both short term and long term corrective actions.
• Identification and introduction of improvements in conjunction with other departments to support equipment reliability and operation.
• To work alongside sub-contractors as required and take the lead in such circumstances
• Assist in Installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
• Conduct minor projects as necessary.

Essential Experience/ Qualifications:
• Formally trained through an engineering apprenticeship, preferably to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Broad range of experience in all aspects of maintenance in heavy engineering environments.
• Familiarity of operating CMMS packages.
• Used to working in a pressurised environment, with particular regard to tight downtime constraints.
• Computer literate.
• Familiar with AC/DC drives.
• Programming & interrogating various PLC systems.

Desirable Experience/ Qualifications:

Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and track Sub-contractor workloads and performance to ensure adherence to customer requirements and operational dock plan.
Ensure Purchase Orders, work order transactions, transports bookings and communication throughout the site is done.

We are currently recruiting a Product Technician to join the Technical Product Management Team (including Product Routing & Method Creation) within the Technical Department at our Blaenavon facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Technical Department manage and control of our forged products portfolio, by performing activities in alignment with company processes and our quality management system.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
• Product Technical administration – creation of product routing, documentation, methods and BOMs for new product based on RFQ cost estimate, implementing feedback from operations, manufacturing engineers and technical engineers.

Job Summary
The Production Controller will be responsible for managing Customer product from receipt of raw materials through to launch, production, finished goods and despatch to the customer. They will be responsible for supporting production through management of a smooth and level material flow to achieve budgeted sales plan.

EHS Manager Sheffield Forgings 37 hours per week

As Environmental Health and Safety Manager, you are responsible for all HS&E aspects of the business including the EHS culture, objectives, policies, procedures and monitoring systems. This is a technical and managerial position which requires a comprehensive knowledge of UK EHS laws and regulations. You will focus much of your attention on working with your line managers to ensure they have the skills, knowledge and behaviours to deliver our EHS vision.; This position requires an individual who can operate as a member of a management team, coaching and challenging as appropriate, to ensure we collectively meet our targets and objectives. The incumbent will be expected to function at a high level of effectiveness with limited supervision other than regular verification of plans, strategies and outcomes.

Key Objectives of the Role:
• Represents the location’s General Manager in EHS matters
• Coaches line leadership and provide professional support in the execution of their EHS responsibilities,
• Leads, mentors and coaches the EHS Professionals in their duties
• Ensures that the organisational EHS model and EHS Hoshin strategy is maintained and effective, and continuously improved
• Develops, maintains, improves and implements the EHS policy and procedures with focus on prevention and risk reduction,

NDT Inspector Blaenavon South Wales 37 Hours per Week (Morning Shift)

We are currently seeking an NDT Inspector to join our Inspection team in Blaenavon. The role will involve using various techniques including FPI, Etch and UST to inspect products to ensure conformity to customer specification. The successful applicants will work on a morning shift only.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
• Inspection, evaluation and sentencing of product in line with customer specifications.
• To perform in process quality checks ensuring product / equipment comply with the relevant customer specifications and audit checklists.
• To perform non-destructive inspections on all components as identified by the MoM or customer specification.
• To record, organise and evaluate test results and generate inspections report.
• Responsible for general administration and upkeep of departmental documentation including completing/updating all in process documentation and systems e.g. EFACs
• Preparation of parts for penetrant inspection in line with relevant procedures.
• To support and participate in audits.
• Working with all departments to ensure the overall product/process quality is of the highest standard.
• Highlight any non-conformances to Quality/Technical Department and actively contribute to the overall quality of the product and associated processes.
• Understanding the materials to be tested, how they are manufactured and the impact on the end product.

The successful candidates will have the following skills/experience:
• Level 2 certification in line with SNT-TC-1A or EN4179
• Ability to interpret information such as standard operating procedures, customer specifications and MoM.
• Must have an engineering qualification, ideally to a minimum of HNC or equivalent or demonstrable experience performing a similar role from within the automotive, steel manufacturing or aeronautical industry.
• Computer Literate
• Experience of NDT i.e. penetrant testing methods, ultrasonic testing methods & acid etching techniques would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good interpersonal skills, particularly team working.

Electrical Engineer (Furnace) Blaenavon South Wales 37 hours/week Possible shifts

We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Maintenance Team in Blaenavon. The successful candidate will support Operations in achieving maximum uptime, reliability, efficiency and safety of all furnace equipment and carry out furnace surveys, calibrations, PPM’s of furnaces & general checks to ensure equipment is fit for purpose.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
• To support production activities at all times by ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdown.
• Respond as necessary to operational priorities seeking clarity from Operations or Maintenance Management where necessary.
• Execute tasks in line with Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule, ensuring work is carried out in compliance within all statutory Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and in accordance with internal risk assessments.
• Undertake effective fault finding and rectification of plant and equipment failures to include the effective Root Cause analysis and the implementation of both short term and long term corrective actions.
• Identification and introduction of improvements in conjunction with other departments to support equipment reliability and operation.
• To work alongside sub-contractors as required and take the lead in such circumstances.
• Assist in Installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
• Fully utilise the Pirana CMMS.

Essential Experience / Qualifications
• Formally trained through an engineering apprenticeship, preferably to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Broad range of experience in all aspects of maintenance in heavy engineering environments.
• Familiarity of operating CMMS packages.
• Used to working in a pressurised environment, with particular regard to tight downtime constraints.
• Computer literate.
• Knowledge of fault finding & understanding electrical drawings.
• Knowledge & experience of working with a variety of voltages 24v DC, 110v AC, 240V AC , 415v AC.

Desirable Experience / Qualifications (Not essential – training provided)
• Experience of furnaces and combustion systems.
• Experience of calibrations, thermocouples, furnace control.
• Experience of electrical furnaces & control – thyristors, elements.
• Experience of carrying out uniformity furnace surveys, SATs.
